Turning a broken client portfolio into a working system

56+ active client relationships. Unresolved issues, fragmented information and no reliable view of what needed attention.

Problem → Investigation → Decision

01 / Visible problem

What was happening

An inherited portfolio of 56+ active clients across technology implementation, pension compliance and service delivery had unresolved issues, dissatisfied customers, limited visibility of outstanding work, fragmented information, unclear processes and manual administration causing delays and errors.

02 / Investigation

What I looked at

The work began with direct conversations with clients, reconstructing what had happened across unresolved issues, and separating immediate client problems from wider process issues. The underlying problem was the lack of visibility and operating structure around what needed to happen.

03 / What changed

The shift

Open problems and next steps were made visible; an implementation plan, more realistic client timelines, and a consistent delivery and communication process were established. Outstanding issues were addressed, internal processes improved, and clients received training and support.

04 / Result or decision

What the evidence made possible

The work led to clearer portfolio visibility, less manual administration, more consistent delivery, improved client satisfaction, rebuilt trust and stronger long-term relationships.

Turn a fragmented set of client problems into a more visible, workable system for follow-through.
